July 22, 2007

Fujifilm is a brand which is best known for its professional range of cameras. In various institutions and with various professional photographers you can find this camera. With its best designed body and lens quality this camera is reaching a wide range of target customers. Fujifilm has recently launched its new range of professional cameras which are the third range of the IS Pro series. This camera is especially designed to record non-visible light which makes it a perfect camera for law enforcement, scientific, fine art and medical communities. This is a unique camera which is loaded with various features and functions. This camera is based on the S5 Pro with a modified CCD filter pack. This Fujifilm camera is sensitive to Ultraviolet and Infrared light between 380nm and 1000nm. This camera is expected to be available in US market only. It will have four kits ranging from $2599 which is for the body and $4999 with the Zeiss 50mm Macro 1:2 F2.0 Lens, suitable filters, HyperUtility processing software and even protective armor for the camera body.
CCD Preview
Fujifilm IS Pro will follow the legacy of other Fujifilm models. As Fujifilm has pioneered Live Image CCD Preview for its digital SLR cameras, so this camera will also have the same functions. This camera provides a 30 second Live Image Preview which comes directly from the imaging sensor in black and white. The IS Pro takes this through the cameras’ LCD monitor directly. You can also enhance the image quality as per your choice. This camera provides you digital magnification and brightness adjustment which can improve the focus quality and can also compensate for light intensity. You can also view the images in an NTSC or PAL monitor and for better viewing you can connect it to your PC or Laptop through the USB 2.0 connection provided in the camera. You also get the Fujifilm HyperUtility HS-V3 software with this camera, though it’s still in the optional range.
Face Detection
The most noticeable part of this camera is the facility for Face Detection. You can use this camera as your traditional daylight camera also but you have to add a UVIR cut filter to the lens for such photography. Once you have taken your photographs then the Fujifilm’s Post Capture Face Detection automatically zoomed it during the playback of this photographs. This confirms the focus and exposure of the photo which can be up to 10 faces per image. And if you want to change the skin color quality then you have to buy different UVIR cut filters.
