Thanks for sharing the wealth.

Similiar to some of the previous comments I would have trouble getting most of my clients to spring for around 600 bucks on these links.

Any reason why you think these links are better than ones you could get for free on the various social media sites like mixx, propeller etc.

Your top 4 are the same as the top four I have on my list of directories… good job. the others you have are pretty good to. dmoz, yahoo, botw, and goguides are pretty much the best… also business.com is good too.

I don’t know why I am so sceptical about paying money to submit to this directories. I paid for Clush and I think it has helped me in the serps, not sure though. Thanks for sharing

I wouldn’t worry about them not showing up in the rankings, the purpose of using these is to gain a link from a quality directory. From hundreds of directories tested online these are the ones with the best cache dates, internal linking and pagerank. All of which will benefit your site.

I appreciate you sharing your top directories. The Yahoo directory is the one I have questioned. Never spent the cash for it so I have not been able to experience it in the serps. I submitted to Best of the web and Joe Ant lately. Best of the Web was picked up after two days but Joe Ant has yet to produce a link after two weeks. Still waiting to see when the engines will pick it up.

Hi there. I do web research every day and have never seen GoG uides, Joe Ant, Skaffe, and Gimpsy show up in the organic results of Google or Yahoo, so I’m wondering where you usually see these directories appear? ‘Most’ of my clients won’t pay all of these directory fees – thus my questions about ‘where’ they appear since I’ve never seen them. Thanks for sharing. I’m anxious to hear back!
