So here we are with one of the giants of camera making. Canon is one of the most preferred digital camera companies. This is the brand which is trusted by people all over the world. Canon Powershot cameras are also the epitome of Canon technology. These cameras are not only stylish and sleek but also have various features which are difficult to find in other cameras in the same range. Canon has recently launched the new Canon Powershot S5 IS camera, which is stylish black camera loaded with various unique features. This camera is an attempt by the manufacturer to lure more people towards this designer piece. With the launch of this camera we recall those days when the original PowerShot S1 camera was first announced. This camera was known for its big zoom and it has become the trade mark for the manufacturer. But suddenly this camera was disappeared and now the manufacturer has introduced this camera again.

What we have observed is that Canon believes in following a single success formula and that is, if something is good and sells then don’t change anything in it and don’t even alter anything in it. Well, it seems a good idea to give people what they like the most. The new Canon S5 IS is an updated range of the old camera which now features everything in a larger scale. You can now get bigger lens along with big performance. But isn’t this seemed so predictable, as you know what and how will this camera going to be updated. I guess this is the field where Canon people have to think a lot.

Features
The new Canon Powershot S5 IS is a contemporary digital camera which can give you the freedom to take some brilliant images without any hassle. This camera has a sleek body and is very easy to carry also. This is an 8 mega pixels camera with a high resolution sensor. PowerShot S5 IS features Digic III processor where as the old S3 IS had a Digic II processor, hence we can say that the new Canon PowerShot S5 IS is surely a modified version of its predecessors. This camera features a 2.5 inched larger and higher resolution LCD screen. You also get a hot shoe flash connector. This camera features a higher top ISO 1600 sensitivity. This camera now has a increased movie clip limit which is now 4.0 GB. Besides the regular features this camera includes various special features like red-eye removal and face detection AF. Canon has updated this range of camera with a reduced continuous shooting speed. But one thing that might seem unpleasant is the weight of this camera as this camera is heavier than its predecessors.
