July 28, 2007
Music is the spice of life and I guess most of you would agree with me on this. Well, if you are reading this review then I can guess that you must be a gadget lover if not a freak like me. And if you love gadgets then you must love music and must have a music player which is an essential thing these days. If you have ever introspected the changes in music player gadgets then you can easily recognize what must have prompted me to write this review. Today the market is flooded with lots of music players and thanks to the Chinese market you can get cheap music players at a minimal price.
Going down memory lane I remember when these music players were incredibly heavy. But that player also had its own charm. You saw people collecting records of their favorite singers and also of their favorite music. Then came the music player which was smaller and less heavy than the record player but still it wasn’t that mobile and if you wished to listen music then you had to be at home. But with the advent of modern technology music players went under several changes in the design and quality of the player. Cassettes came and this brought cassette players and some of the players with batteries, which gave them instant mobility. But it was also not that better as it was bulky and battery makes it heavier. As nobody had any other option so this was an instant hit. But gradually came walkman which gave ultimate mobility to people. Then it became ubiquitous and everybody preferred having a walkman. After this came CDs which had the best quality sound. You didn’t need to get entangled in those cassette reels as there was CD to store all your favorite tracks. And when the CD player came bringing a new listening experience for the music lovers. And after CDs it was turn for MP3s.
MP3 was a sheer revolution which was a single CD that can have more than 100 songs. This gave a new prospective to the music lovers. After MP3s manufacturers introduces MP3 players which were gadgets with capability of storing numerous songs. MP3 players were handy and mobile. The design of these players was initially not that sleek but with time it became a trendy and cool gadget which attracted the young generation more than anything. And when MP3 was already in market another revolution came to being under the name iPod. Apple introduced the most revolutionary music player the Apple iPod which not only had music but also video and a lot of data. Till date iPod is the most advanced music three player and only these manufacturers can tell what could be the next big hit.
